My name is Lauren Granato. I first fell in love with design in 2007 when my Grandfather introduced me to Photography. With photography came editing in programs. Once I learned Photoshop I fell in love with the program and decided I wanted to do it for the rest of my life.

I graduated in May 2016 from the University of New Haven with a BA in Graphic Design. I also have a minor in Photography and in Marketing. Throughout my years in college I became involved on campus. I held the position of President of Awareness for St. Jude Up Til Dawn for two years. In 2016, as a University, we raised over $116,000 for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. As the President of Awareness, it was my job to make sure the brand of St. Jude was properly portrayed on our campus. I created materials to print and hang around campus. Additionally, I created social media posts which revolved around the cause. These posts were used on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

After being in the Graphic Design print field for a little while, I decided that I wanted to expand my skills as a designer into a more digital realm. I took an online course from CareerFoundry. I have completed the course with a certificate in UI Design. We also reviewed some skills in UX design. I completed over 400 hours of hands on work with a tutor and mentor who work in the field of UI/UX design.

I am extremely passionate about food! Some of my other hobbies include photography, painting, writing, yoga and being outdoors.
