CuriRAsity Foods is a mock company focused on selling and promoting foods that have mostly anti-inflammatory properties. These foods have vitamins, oils and natural ingredients that can help reduce inflammation, especially for people who have inflammatory diseases, such as RA (Rheumatoid Arthritis).
The objective of this study is to explore different possibilities of branding requirements. When a new company starts, they are going to need a variety of branding items. This study explores items such as a logo, billboard and recipe book.
CuriRAsity Foods was designed using Illustrator and Photoshop. Each piece was built around the logo, which emphasizes RA, an inflammatory disease. Social media icons were also adapted to match the color scheme of the brand.
Challenges and Learnings
The main challenge for this work was to find a way to portray a company that focuses on clean, healthy and anti-inflammatory foods while still using a food based color scheme. Greens and yellows are generally related to healthy things but reds, browns and oranges relate to food. The challenge was to create a brand that acknowledged and emphasized both healthy and food while still staying true to color theory about food.
The other main challenge was to determine what should be included in a branding set up. To address this, I decided to design a variety of things that a new company would need. A logo and brand guidelines, something to send in the mail (Recipe book), an advertisement (billboard), and a website to sell the healthy anti-inflammatory foods.
